A friend is a person who know you, who trust you, who likes you, a person with whom one is allied in a struggle, a person who supports you and sympathizes you. They cooperate with each other, are loyal, honest, etc. They understand each other, have similar tastes and enjoy activities togethe. Friends give advises to each other and wants the best for each other. Friendship needs frequently contact, it takes time and is riscky of being heart. It involves a degree of intimacy and a high level of trust, that is why you can get heart, when you love you sufferbecause you care, and if you care and love someone as your friend then it will deeply hurt when that friend let´s you down. Family are also friends.
Not every "friend" is good for you. You have to be carefull about who you trust as your friends because when you decide to consider him/her as your friend, vey important information about your self is given and your deeper feelings are revealed. There is a probability you end up hurt. Friends can also be just your friends because of interess, because they need something from you and may manipulate you. There are some important criteria to consider when deciding who your friends are:
1. getting to know each other.
2. Pay attention to the interests of your friend and how he behave when he/she isn´t getting anything in exchange by helping you.
3. Make him get into real friendship desitions. For example see if your friend sacrifies something of his/her real interest, for being there for you.
